While I still enjoy running (and bonus–it\’s free!) it\’s really annoying to run with our puppy right now. He really just wants to stop and sniff things every two seconds, so running has taken a bit of a backseat. Instead, I joined my local YMCA (though of those descriptors, only \”young\” applies to me, haha) and I\’ve been testing out a bunch of different classes and hammering out a routine.
I\’ve found a few that I totally love: Thursday HIIT and Friday Barre. I just went to my first Saturday Total Body Strength and it really kicked my buttttt–and my husband\’s too!
Of course, I still have those days where I have to drag myself over there, and I\’ve found that new workout clothes are super motivating–especially if I made them myself!!
Have a great weekend, y\’all!

'Tis true, the all-in-one tops can be an exercise in themselves to remove after a workout, LOL. I like your idea of layering the Dunbar, sans bra, over one's own sports bra. You could easily tweak the pattern for full coverage, but I quite like the peak of white at the back. I enjoy yoga a lot, but still try to get outside for brisk walking.A Colourful Canvas: Ginger Jeans Yoga Pants and Sewaholic Dunbar Top

I feel the same way! More money on exercise equals less money for lipstick. My dog does the same thing! He must sniff EVERYTHING.

Your puppy is so cute! Yoga, running, cycling and core strength workouts are my current thing. I think I would be willing to sew the Dunbar sans bra insert. Is that an option of the pattern? I need my tried and true Wacoal sports bra! In the photos I can't tell that the straps are wonky…

Love the top! I find super colourful workout gear is what motivates me to exercise. Although I really should try making some of my own. Before I had kids we used to gym 3 times a week and I loved it. I have always loved group classes too! Since having kids though it is so difficult to find time to get to the gym that now I workout at home instead. I found a cool page on youtube called The Gym Box that does heaps of workout videos. I am loving their kickboxing and step videos at the moment.

Ooh I really like that top! I have one from Athleta that fits perfectly like yours, it has been dis continued. I have never been incline to make my own spoartswear, unfortunately. I have always been a yoga girl, since I was about 11. I also run/walk, mostly walk.

I'm a runner also! I've never tried to make my own workout gear though. Stretch knits are still scary to me.

Cute but crazy! He REALLY needs a haircut 🙂 It isn't an option with instructions, but it's definitely doable to just pick the tank pattern pieces and go for it.

I hate it when personal favorites get discontinued! I have tried yoga, but I am really bad at it since I'm NOT flexible and have terrible balance… I guess that means I should go more!

I've been meaning to try kickboxing! I enjoy doing videos but I never stick with it–I need that group class for accountability.

I like the layering (especially in all black) because you can show off a cute colored sports bra! This way I also get more use out of two pieces I can layer.ps. your dunbar tanks are so great!

Dogs can be so perfect and yet, soooo annoying! My dog used to be small enough that he could just be sort of tugged along, but now he's way bigger and so if he stops, I stop.

I only made my first knit in august (http://www.alliemjackson.com/2015/08/a-coral-coco.html) and I was so scared!! Now I'm excited about knits because they can be so quick; it's like, a dress in an hour? Amazing.
